Just as we’ve received the good news that BP’s Gulf Oil spill is finally being contained and much of the oil is quickly vanishing, we have another oil spill. A state of emergency has been declared in Michigan’s Kalamazoo County . On Monday, an oil pipeline in Marshall Township sprung a significant leak, and is now reportedly releasing more than 800,000 gallons of oil. The oil is making its way downstream in the Kalamazoo River. Experts have determined that the oil could reach Lake Michigan soon. This spill is now being called the largest oil spill in the history of the US Midwest. Crikey, what a nightmare.
