CLASSIFICATION ICB

 

La nomenclature ICB "Industry Classification Benchmark", qui a été lancée en janvier 2005 par FTSE Group et Dow Jones Indexes, a pris effet au 2 janvier 2006 pour l’ensemble des sociétés cotées sur les marchés d’Euronext Amsterdam, Brussels, Lisbon et Paris.

Cette nouvelle nomenclature sectorielle, qui remplace la nomenclature FTSE dite "FTSE Global Classification System", couvre dans le monde 40.000 sociétés et 45.000 titres. Elle permet aux investisseurs d’identifier les valeurs selon la hiérarchie ICB décomposée en dix industries, 18 super-secteurs, 39 secteurs et 104 sous-secteurs.

Concrètement c'est un cirque assez complexe. Donc vous avez ici les compositions exhaustives si d'autres sites prennent la liberté d'avoir plus d'actions dans un secteur, cela les regarde mais les règles de compositions sont là.

 

Concrètement les secteurs aux sens de la classification ICB sur le seul marché français ne présentent pas un grand intérêt vu le poids que certaines valeurs peuvent prendre dans un secteur.

Certain secteur n'ont d'ailleurs pas d'indices associés.
